We can all agree that the biggest threat to the PC Gaming platform is the rampant piracy that goes on and while there can be arguments that DRM is one big cause of this there can be little argument when a small developer who created a quirky game believe that only between 5 to 15% of players paid for their game. Machinarium was release for without DRM and even so up to 95% of the people who played the game may have pirated it. Pirates, hang your heads in shame.

But there is a chance of some redemption……

Amanita Design the developer behind the game have announced a Pirates Amnesty. The game is now available to buy for a cheepy cheap price of £3.26 or $5 dollars depending on how you spell honour. For your money you get the game runnable on Windows, Linux and on Macs along with the soundtrack.

So do something decent today, support a developer who’ve worked hard on a game putting a lot of love into it, released it DRM free and are now offering it at a very low price. You’ll feel better about yourself afterwards.

Also if you don’t own this game and haven’t pirated it, pick it up. It’s good.
